We pride ourselves in delivering impactful campaigns that drive the cultural conversation.The Role - Sports & Culture PR Account ExecutiveWe are looking for an Associate (AE level) to work across a selection of sports and culture focussed accounts. One of your anchor clients sits within the football space so understanding the difference between the Champions League and the Championship is essential. Although traditional media is important, we’re also looking for someone who has their finger on the pulse of the latest in-culture channels, including the coolest social platforms, zines, and influencers.Likely to be your second role in comms, we are looking for someone who has strong writing skills, a good eye for a story and the latest cultural trend, and most of all someone who is up for being a key player within Podium.RequirementsStrong communication experience within agency or in-house across consumer Confidence in presenting and writing abilities – experience in writing press releases, copy, reports and statements efficientlyExperience in working on a busy press office team, dealing with a wide range of enquiries Excellent time management and the ability to respond to tasks quickly and efficiently Experience with handling media enquiries and sell insThe ability to work across multiple different accounts and workstreams, with differing requirements within a fast-paced environmentHave a good understanding of the daily news agenda, as well as the wider landscape of your accounts, and to be able to discuss and comment on it with colleaguesHave a good understanding of the latest trends and in-culture updatesEnthusiastic, proactive, a hard worker and keen to learn new thingsResponsibilitiesConfidently build relationships with journalists, both reactively and proactively and be accountable for managing these relationshipsConfidently and successfully pitch stories to media on an ongoing basis. Maintain an understanding of the influencer landscape – keeping abreast of the latest digital media influencers relating to your clients new business proposals and pitches.Confidently and concisely present progress reports, simple project updates and new ideas to clients either face-to-face, by telephone and by emailRegularly write and build documents in a range of styles that demonstrate your attention to detail and skills in producing well written documents for both media and clients, including well-structured press releases, reports, statements, proposals, online copy etc.Work within a busy press office team, responding quickly and efficiently to a broad range of enquiries Support with researching relevant talent for brand campaigns, as well as development of talent briefing documents themselves
