By building teams for specific challenges, we solve briefs in a practical way, with solutions that have patient and society’s well-being at their heart.Summary of our roleThe Account Manager (AM) will have an overview of the whole account, utilising their established communications skills to drive the day-day account handling and project management, whilst providing direction, support and coaching to more junior members of the account team.The AM will be expected to expand their media knowledge to identify new opportunities, whilst proactively challenging and contributing to client handling activities and playing an increasing role in strategic input.This is a full-time permanent role and our current hybrid working arrangement is two days from home. Our office is located in Kings Cross.What you can expect to be doing:Day-to-day management of tactics/projects comprising communications programme Assist senior team members to ensure realistic setting and meeting of client deadlines and budgets and assist with budgetary controlProvide junior team with clear and accurate project briefs and delegate workload accordinglyProvide constructive and timely feedback to the team and highlight any training and development needs of junior team to Line ManagersMaintain and manage regular contact with clients and advise on necessary programme changes/external issuesQuestion and challenge clients when requiredIdentify opportunities for organic growth with existing clientsStart to increase strategic overview of account, advising clients on new issues/external environment and contribute to strategic planning meetingsInitiate and develop relationships with relevant industry experts and opinion formers, leveraging these within campaign activity where appropriate (incl. knowledge of most quoted/influential KOLs or HCPs)Continue to develop and input into communications and media strategies for client campaigns – take a lead role in development of annual communications plansParticipate and contribute to the generation of creative ideas & platformsGenerate content for different platforms and audiences (Medical, media, client, social, etc)This role could be a great fit for you if you have:Previous experience from an agency with a Medical Communications focus is crucialUp-to-date knowledge of the ABPI, PAGB codes, MHRA and other relevant international regulatory bodiesUnderstanding of the NHS/ international health systems and broader health environmentExcellent people management skills – delegation and coachingExcellent verbal and written communication skillsGood project and time management skillsAbility to multi-task and work under pressureFinancial management skills – budgeting
