Across retained clients and project work, Account Managers manage the day to day activity as agreed in the SoWs ensuring we, as an award winning agency, deliver excellent results.ResponsibilitiesWorking as part of a fast growing, global team, an Account Manager’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Managing and proofing all elements of project and retainer work on a day to day basis, under the direction of Senior Account Managers, Account Directors, and Client Leads. Being the key point of contact for clients and building relationships across your client portfolio. Identifying opportunities for growth within your existing client roster, and supporting your peers with idea generation and the sell-in of additional work.Diligently scope out new projects for existing clients, and work with senior members of the team to scope new business.Take an active role in client and new biz brainstorms, developing ideas with the client brief in mind. Managing client teams and their workload, ensuring client work is delivered within the agreed scope and budget. Working successfully as a global team, collaborating with team members in the UK, UCAN and other regional markets to manage clients and plan resources.Being a key player in client meetings, new business pitches, and events (virtually, or when appropriate, in-person).Developing your ability to deliver strategic counsel and support to clients.Looking for opportunities for innovation by keeping up to date with breaking news and what’s trending to ensure we are one step ahead of our clients and competitors.Proactively attending industry events, conferences and networking sessions.Working across multiple accounts and projects at the same time.Utilising non client time to get involved in Battenhall brand communications and company initiatives such as Taskforces. Line managing 1-2 Account Executives / Junior Account Executives, helping to develop their learning and understanding of client and agency ways of working. Reporting to Account Directors and Client Leads on day to day work while ensuring collaboration across the whole team.Skills and qualificationsMinimum 3 years experience in a social media, digital comms, design or PR agency, or working in a communications or marketing department in-house.Confident in your abilities, able to share knowledge with the wider team, and develop your specialist skills.You will need to demonstrate outstanding verbal English, written, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to write exceptional copy.You will need to manage SoWs, timelines, resourcing and client budgets.You will have strong interpersonal skills virtually and in-person.You will need excellent attention to detail. You will need to demonstrate the ability to work to tight deadlines and meet all the demands and pressures of teams and clients. You will need to work quickly and efficiently without compromising on quality.Motivated by success with an entrepreneurial, self-starter attitude. You will have the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team, identifying improvements to ways of working and collaborating with directors to implement positive change.
