Account Manager / PR Agency / 12 month FTC YunoJuno's award-winning PR agency client are looking for an experienced Account Manager to join the team on a 12 month FTC basis (maternity cover). The roleYou are responsible for the execution of tasks on both ongoing work and large integrated campaigns. You are a professional with solid knowledge of the PR tech landscape. You will work with leading technology clients on key campaigns and possess expertise with building and placing stories.Fully proficient in PR skills, the Account Manager will act as a trainer to junior consultants and interns and will also oversee and monitor their workload. They will play a key role in winning new business and will understand the budget implications of their actions.The Account Managers possess an in-depth understanding of their clients’ business, keeping up to date with industry trends and the competitive landscape. They become champions of inventive thinking and identify opportunities for client growth while fostering curiosity within their teams to identify new possibilities.As an Account Manager, you will:Client management• Effectively manage client account and budget objectives through good planning, project management, problem anticipation and above all a solution orientated approach• Work closely with the account team, manage day-to-day client relationships and satisfaction. Hold regular meetings and/or maintain regular phone or written contact to keep key clients apprised of work progress and address issues that appear whilst also keeping your manager up to date• Write and deliver consistently high-quality written materials for clients from emails to opinion pieces requiring minimal editing from your manager/director• Begin to think about the strategic viewpoint and where possible implement new approaches to influential relationships e.g. providing a broader context of client’s businesses and long-term positioning, a client’s place in the marketplace versus its competitors• Maintain an active understanding and awareness of current affairs/issues, marketing objectives, technologies and products of your clients in order to provide strategic planning and counsel to the client and the media• Generate valuable and practical campaign ideas for clients• Regularly identify opportunities for improving team or client management/servicing and then spearheading their implementation• Ensure that you contribute in every client meeting whether face to face or over the phone by being fully prepared, asking pertinent questions and always looking to add valueMedia• Maintain and grow strong relationships with key media and influencers expanding efforts towards senior level contacts• Answer press queries and co-ordinate requests for products and interviews and where possible add context and value by offering competitive comparison and referencing corporate positioning• Demonstrate the ability to tailor your pitch/sell in approach dependent on the type of specific media that you are targeting• Serve as day to day contact with key influencers on behalf of your clients anticipating needs and preferences in order to provide a value-added service to editors, to brief clients and to build effective relationships• Read/review key publications daily sharing your findings and highlighting potential business implications for your critics, team and broader agency• Monitor and evaluate media results ensuring tracking is accurate and comprehensive and reported to your Director and client complete with analysis and recommendations regarding target audiencesNew Business• Work with the senior team in responding to new business proposals by remaining flexible and completing activities such as compiling detailed research, providing creative ideas to brainstorms and collating slides• Attend new business brainstorms and look to add value by suggesting creative ideas or potential approaches• Utilise your existing network to source leads which can be passed onto your line managerFinance• Actively forecast and manage client’s revenue working collaboratively with your account team leadGeneral• Understand and meet guidelines on best practise methodologies i.e. utilization, timesheets and accurate billing• Demonstrate a proactive approach to team research i.e. investigate non-conventional avenues in pursuit of information/insight• Demonstrate the ability to coordinate multiple projects and third parties effectively• Demonstrate effective time management and appropriate prioritisation• Take ownership/accountability for the results of your actions and decisions• Represent both clients and the agency in a professional manner at external eventsStart date: Mid-OctoberDuration: 12 month FTCLocation: London (on-site 3 days a week)
