We're working with one of Saffron Walden's most well-known consumer brands as they seek an Accounts Manager to manage their accounts. The ideal will have a solid working history, must be happy working full time at their office in Saffron Walden, based no further than 1 hours' drive away, as well as ideally be fully ACCA qualified, or as a minimum to a high level. Whilst it's not a hybrid role, there can be some flexibility in hours to start or finish later.
This is retail business so you must have experience managing the accounts for a business that holds stock, either a manufacturer or reseller with industry less important. The company use Sage 200, but whilst experience in this or standard Sage would be beneficial it's not essential.
You will be responsible for:
- Managing an Accounts Assistant
- Day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting processes
- Producing monthly management accounts / Year Ends /Audit Requirements
- VAT & environmental returns
- Monthly payroll data
- Accruals, calculations and postings
- Ledger and bank reconciliation
- Sales and purchase ledger processing
