Accountant / Senior Finance Officer

We’re looking for an Accountant / Senior Finance Officer to join our client’s team.
This role is responsible for providing financial support, advising senior stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with financial governance.

• \nRates: £300.77 per day PAYE / £400.00 per day Umbrella

Your Role:

\n
• \nProvide financial management support to senior managers and Directors.
\n
• \nEnsure compliance with local government financial regulations and governance.
\n
• \nDeliver effective financial planning and forecasting, ensuring robust budget control.
\n
• \nPrepare financial reports, supporting decision-making at the highest levels.
\n
• \nManage financial audits, liaising with external and internal auditors.
\n
• \nSupport procurement and contract management, ensuring financial compliance.
\n
• \nAnalyse financial risks, ensuring effective risk management strategies.
\n

What We’re Looking For:

\n
• \nCCAB qualification (or equivalent) required.
\n
• \nExperience working in a financial management role within local government.
\n
• \nStrong financial planning and reporting experience.
\n
• \nAbility to liaise with senior stakeholders, providing clear financial guidance.
\n
• \nProficiency in financial systems, particularly Mosaic, Oracle, and ECM.
\n
