Accountant (Practice)

Are you an experienced Accountant? Are you ACCA / ACA / AAT part of fully qualified with have practice experience?

Major Recruitment are looking to recruit an experienced Accountant to be based in Havant on behalf of our client, an independent business steeped in history.

Providing high quality services covering accountancy, tax and audit services to businesses and private individuals. The geographical reach of this practice is a testament to how highly regarded it is.

Main responsibilities of an Accountant

• Focusing on client service and meeting the day to day demands of the clients
• Taking ownership and nurturing a large client base (businesses and private) covering a wide range of sectors
• Preparing and submitting statutory accounts, Vat returns and corporation tax returns from a variety of both manual records and software
• Reviewing client records
• Undertaking Directors personal tax

What does it take to be a successful Accountant?

• Previous experience in an accountancy practice environment
• Qualified or part qualified with demonstrable experience.
• Exposure to managing a large client base
• Experience of personal tax
• Have a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
• Enjoy working in a dynamic and fast paced environment
• Be a strong communicator
