Accountant

Are you looking for an Accountant role with a well-established, family-owned SME business? This role, based on the outskirts of Bicester, could be just what you are looking for. The role is a standalone Accountant position, and you will take care of the firms finances on a day-to-day basis.
You will have ownership of the finance function, taking on all accounting and monthly management reports, reporting into the MD and will receive some assistance from staff members if required at busy times.
As Accountant your responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
Preparation of management accounts, month end and year end adhering to strict deadlines
All aspects of year end reporting to audit standard
Profit and loss statements
Purchase ledger and sales ledger
Accruals, pre-payments and depreciation calculations
Balance sheet reconciliation including asset register
Payment run (BACS and cheque)
Being responsible for bank account
VAT calculations and returns
Payroll cost auto posting
Credit control reconciliation
