Job Title: Accountant

About Us:
Search are are working in partnership with a well-established firm located in the heart of Perthshire. We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to join their growing finance team, playing an essential role in managing and overseeing our financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards
* Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support business planning and decision-making
* Oversee accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger functions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all transactions
* Conduct regular bank and account reconciliations to maintain the integrity of financial records.
* Prepare and file VAT returns, payroll tax, and corporate tax reports in accordance with current legislation.
* Coordinate with external auditors and support audit processes, providing required documentation and explanations
* Analyse financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, providing actionable insights to support company growth.
* Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in financial processes and implementing streamline operations
Qualifications & Skills:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) is a plus
* Minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting role
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards
* Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
* Excellent analytical skills with high attention to detail
* Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
