*Permanent - 1 Full time post (37 hours per week) - 1 Part time post (33 hours per week)*Find out exactly what skills, experience, and qualifications you will need to succeed in this role before applying below.We have two exciting opportunities to join our dedicated and professional Management Accounting Finance team, ensuring we succeed in maximising our contribution to the strategic aims of the Council.The post holder under the leadership and management of the Principal Accountant will provide financial support services including supporting the Council’s medium term financial strategy, budget preparation, budget monitoring and final accounts. You will already be AAT qualified and someone who is diligent and skilful at interpreting, reconciling, and preparing financial information. Acting as the lead finance support your ability to plan-ahead, with the ability to consistently meet monthly and contractual timescales, will be essential. You must also possess and be able to evidence well-developed IT skills.A successful candidate will be able to prove strong interpersonal skills which will be further developed and result in gaining excellent communication and influencing skills. This will allow you to create and nurture effective working relationships and collaboration with senior stakeholders both internally within the Council and with external organisations.Your skill with accurately preparing and confidently presenting complex financial information so it is meaningful and engaging is key to the role.
