Job Title: Accounts Assistant

Location: Blackburn

Pay Bracket: �26,000 - �32,000

My client is looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join their Blackburn Office. This is a brilliant opportunity to join a business with excellent working culture and exposure opportunities. This role will work alongside the existing finance function, you will be responsible for taking control of both the AP and AR functions on a day-to-day basis.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Reconcile accounts and maintain accurate records.
  • Process payments and invoices.
  • Raising sales invoices
  • Petty Cash, Credit Card & Bank Reconciliation.
  • Maintain accounts payable and receivable.
  • Producing management accounts
  • Responsible for accurate VAT returns
  • Perform data entry and filing duties.
  • Supplier Payments.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience within an accounts setting
  • Experience with Sage
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good organisational and time-keeping skills
  • High attention to detail and able to take ownership of their role
  • Good IT and MS Excel skills
