Pay rate - £13 - £15 per hour
Our well-established client based in Shrewsbury are looking for an experienced accounts assistant to support their accounts team on a temporary basis.
Duties will include
Identify and allocate receipts from the bank and post to ledgers
Deal with bank reconciliations for previous day transactions
Take payments over the telephone, and post to ledgers
Allocate cash to the ledger
Run and maintain the purchase ledger
Post direct debits and standing order payments to the nominal ledgers
Process and print cheque payment requests
Set up bank payments for BACS/CHAPS
Post invoices to the ledger
Maintaining spreadsheets and entering accurate accounting data
Assisting with credit control, nominal analysis, account queries and residual balances
