Accounts Assistant

I am currently working with a Global Retail brand who are Seeking an Accounts Assistant to join their team in Cumbria.

Description

As an Accounts Assistant you will be responsible for:

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports
• Maintain and update accounting records and files
• Conduct regular ledger operations
• Review and process reimbursements
• Handle monthly payroll activities
• Ensure compliance with state revenue service
• Support the Accounting & Finance department during internal and external audits
• Prepare documents and interpret financial information for managers

Profile

The successful Accounts Assistant will have:

• Experience in a similar role, preferably within the retail industry.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to spot and resolve discrepancies quickly.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
