Accounts Assistant

MCS Group is delighted to be partnering exclusively with a professional services company based in Belfast to recruit for a Finance Assistant on a full time, permanent basis. This role is great for someone with good transactional experience or someone coming from an accountancy practice who wants to take that step up and do professional exams. This role will support be part of a finance team in ensuring the smooth day to day running of the finance function. Specifically taking the lead on the AP and AR functions, bank and general reconciliations. The role will also include helping to drive forward the automation and process improvements where necessary. Job Duties Include: Credit card reconciliations and reconciliations for travel suppliers Dealing with client and supplier correspondence Posting overhead invoices and receipts Following up customer payments and chasing remittances Maintaining Purchase Orders Invoicing clients Carry out credit checks on new clients Bank reconciliations Vat returns Financial analysis Accounts preparation Assist line manager with any other ad hoc duties What You Need to Succeed? Experience working in a finance department Computer literate Desire to succeed Savy on excel What's in it for you?
