Accounts Assistant

RECfinancial are currently shortlisting exclusively for this Leicester based business as they look to recruit an experienced Accounts Assistant to assist in their growth. It's a thriving business with a friendly and professional approach.
Our client is looking for someone wanting to grow into a bigger role, taking on further responsibilities and potentially take up studies which they will support. If you aren't currently studying, then this might be the perfect opportunity for you. They don't mind if you don't want to however, your choice. 
The role sits firmly in the Finance function and will see you exposed to all areas of accounts.
So what's the role of Accounts Assistant?

• Processing and entering manual invoices on to Sage / Xero.


• Handling GRN's and POD's.


• Working with other areas of the wider business


• Liaising with new and old clients, providing financial information where required.


• Statement and account reconciliation


• Handling invoice queries 


• Assisting / payment runs


• Chasing payment details


• Sales ledger / BACS


• Assisting with Credit Control


• Assisting the Finance Manager with additional duties

So who are we looking for?

• An enthusiastic Accounts Assistant wanting to grow in a role


• A passion for all things finance


• A minimum of 12 months in a similar role


• Strong system knowledge of Excel and ideally Sage / Xero.
