P+S Personnel are pleased to be working on behalf of our client, who is currently seeking an Accounts Assistant to join their team based in Dereham on a full time, permanent basis.





Main Responsibilities:




  • Preparing year-end accounts and financial statements for companies, sole traders & partnerships.

  • Personal and corporate tax return preparation & completion.

  • Client bookkeeping and management accounts for a variety of businesses, using mainly Sage 50, Xero & QuickBooks.

  • VAT return preparation & transmission.





Person Specification:




  • Good communication skills, happy to converse with clients and able to work in a team.

  • Experience in a similar Bookkeeping / Accounts Assistant role.

  • Must have good experience of Sage, Xero & Quickbooks.

  • Ability to work solely with minimum supervision.

  • A personable, customer driven, people person.

  • Have a positive can-do attitude.

  • Have a passion to go the extra mile to support client queries.

  • Must be able to work to strict deadlines.

  • Practice experience an advantage




Qualifications and Experience:




  • Qualified by experience or have an accountancy qualification.

  • Current and relevant experience within an accountancy practice environment.

  • Prompt client contact and liaison providing a top-class service, going the extra mile.

  • Supporting the Directors with new ideas for best practice and forward-thinking accounting.

  • Experience of Accounts & Tax Software.
