You will be part of a large dynamic Account Collections team within the Softcat Finance Department. The team is responsible for mitigating payment and cash risk to the business by chasing and collecting payment of invoices owed to Softcat. The team also contribute innovatively to achieve resolution for account queries, ensuring completion of a smooth order process from point of sale to payment received.

Reporting in to the Account Collections Deputy Manager you will manage nine team members consisting of varying levels of experience and capability from Account Collections Executives to Account Collections Specialists. You will provide general support to the Account Collections Deputy Manager, and Manager, along with cross team support for your peers.


As Accounts Collection Team Leader, you'll be responsible for: 



  • Training and developing new team members whilst also providing support to direct reports.

  • Assisting with any reporting requirements.

  • Adhering to company processes for team management i.e. managing sickness.

  • Managing and monitoring an individuals' performance - implement and monitor KPI's during a performance improvement process, including having challenging conversations.

  • Responsible for managing the team rota and for team office attendance.

  • Approvals – letter cycles, refunds, cross currency transactions etc.


 


We'd love you to have 



  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. 

  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to develop and maintain relationships with different personalities across the business.

  • Self-motivated to improve knowledge with the ability to use what you have learnt to benefit the team.

  • Ability to identify areas for positive change and implement these.

  • Demonstrated passion for credit control and cash collection.

  • Demonstrative credit control experience
