Our client is a top 20 UK accountancy firm, is seeking an experienced Accounts Senior to join our growing team in Derby. Reporting directly to the Senior Managers, you will primarily focus on year-end accounts preparation and management accounts, with the opportunity to work on other projects as they arise.

Your Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare working files and draft accounts for clients
- Resolve client queries and prepare discussion points for Senior Managers or Partners
- Work within agreed budgets and meet deadlines
- Prepare draft tax computations and statutory disclosures
- Identify basic tax planning opportunities and follow the firm's standard procedures
- Represent the business professionally in dealings with clients and other professionals
- Attend internal training and seminars to maintain and develop technical and personal skills
- If part-qualified, work towards completing your ACA/ACCA qualification with full support from the firm
About You:
- Previous experience as an Accounts Senior in an accounting firm
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Experience with cloud-based accounting software (knowledge of Iris and Xero is a plus)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills
- A proactive, self-driven mindset with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Qualifications:
- ACA/ACCA qualified or part-qualified (full study support provided if needed)
