Role &
Responsibilities:As an Accounts Senior, you will take responsibility for a wide range of duties, including:
\n- Planning and preparing accounts for a variety of clients, including Sole Traders, Partnerships, and Limited Companies, from client records for review by the manager or reporting partner.
\n- Sending final accounts to clients and liaising with them to ensure their satisfaction.
\n- Assisting junior staff with accounts completion and providing on-the-job training.
\n- Setting and managing budgets for staff members.
\n- Preparing and reviewing Tax Returns for clients, including income tax and corporation tax returns.
\n- Calculating income tax and corporation tax liabilities, advising clients on how to manage their tax obligations.
\n- Managing day-to-day correspondence and ensuring timely communication with clients.
\n- Handling tax enquiry work as it arises.
\n- Preparing management and financial accounts.
\n- Coaching and developing junior team members, ensuring their professional growth.
\n- Providing software training to clients to improve their accounting processes.
\n- Ensuring daily timesheet completion and accurate record-keeping.
\n- Maintaining continuous professional development and staying up to date with industry changes.

As an Accounts Senior, you will be responsible for ensuring a high standard of service for clients, while managing your own workload efficiently.
Required Experience:To be considered for the Accounts Senior role, you should have:
\n- At least 1 year of recent post-qualification experience, or
\n- 3 to 4 years of experience working in practice, with a solid understanding of accounts preparation, business and corporate tax, and ideally personal tax.
\n- Experience gained within a fast-paced accountancy practice environment.
\n
Desired Skills:The ideal Accounts Senior will possess:
\n- Strong knowledge of tax and accounting practices.
\n- Excellent computer and spreadsheet skills.
\n- Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, or Xero, and accounts production software such as CCH.
\n- The ability to supervise and support junior team members.
\n- A proactive approach, with the ability to work both independently and within a team.
\n- Strong client relationship-building skills.
\n- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and colleagues at various levels.
\n- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage your own workload effectively while exceeding client expectations.
