The Administrator role is central to the smooth running of our public sector client's Secretarial & Business Support department. The successful candidate will be responsible for an array of tasks including data management, scheduling, and office coordination.

Description

  • Overseeing general administrative duties such as filing, typing, copywriting, handling mail and basic bookkeeping.
  • Assisting in the coordination of office activities and operations.
  • Supporting department heads and executives with clerical tasks.
  • Managing phone calls and correspondence.
  • Maintaining records, spreadsheets, and databases to ensure accurate information is available.
  • Scheduling meetings and appointments.
  • Liaising with team members, management, and other departments.
  • Ensuring office supplies are maintained, including checking inventory and working with vendors to ensure adequate levels of necessary supplies.

Profile

A successful Administrator should have:

  • An educational background in Business Administration or a related field.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel for data management.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of office procedures and basic bookkeeping practices.
