Job DescriptionA London Borough Council is seeking an Adult Social Care Lawyer to join their team on a contract basis. The role is initially a 6 month contract and hybrid working (1 day in the office per week). Please find below further details with regards to the position.The Role of the Adult Care LawyerTo manage and progress full caseloads of matters in relation to Adult Social Care Law, Education and EmploymentMatters will also include mental health, community care, judicial reviews and service users with no recourse to public fundsTo also provide legislative advice, litigation and advocacy service on behalf of the councilTo ensure that all such work is carried out to the requirements of relevant clients and to appropriate professional standardsThe PersonA qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Barrister with a minimum of 2 years' PQEAt least 12 months' worth of Adult Social Care law case management progression experience would be essentialPrevious public sector working experience would be highly desirable for this positionBenefitsCompetitive rates of payOpportunity to work on exciting, high-profile projectsFlexible working arrangements
