Job Description:
As an Adults Social Worker, you will assess, support, and safeguard adults with care and support needs. You will work collaboratively with service users, their families, and other professionals to develop care plans that promote independence, well-being, and dignity. The successful candidate, whilst not expected to directly supervise others, will be expected to provide advice and guidance to less experienced colleagues and perhaps accompany other colleagues on joint visits.
Key Responsibilities:
Casework management - take professional responsibility for managing a complex caseload.
Risk management - demonstrate confident and effective judgement about risk and accountability in decision-making, undertaking mental capacity assessments and best interest decisions as appropriate.
Assessments, support planning and reviews - using assessment procedures and professional judgement to determine social care eligibility. Employ a range of interventions to promote independence, provide support and protection and ensure safety whilst balancing rights and risks.
Safeguarding - manage positive interventions to prevent deterioration in health and wellbeing whilst safeguarding people at risk of abuse or neglect. Undertake assessment and planning for safeguarding in more complex cases in line with policies and procedures. Take professional and personal responsibility for clear recording of analysis and judgements.
