Job description: Are you a skilled technician with a passion for high-quality work and innovation?
As an Aftermarket Service Technician (Winch and Masts) , you will be responsible for the service, repair & testing of ASEP K-Winch & Elmar products, consisting of truck mounted and offshore containerised winches, diesel driven power packs, telescopic and folding wireline masts.
You will support and improve assembly of NOV ISE products through specific techniques as well as innovative idea generation and creative, efficient problem solving. It is essential that the quality of your work is to the highest standard, it is expected to be right first time on time.
Required profile: Key Responsibilities:
Read, interpret, and follow blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, and bills of materials to accurately assemble equipment and products.
Conduct service and repair of pneumatic/hydraulic systems, ensuring the highest cleanliness standards are maintained.
Monitor and control materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or faults, ensuring products meet NOV standards.
Support key initiatives such as on-time delivery, schedule attainment, and cost of quality improvements.
Maintain a safe, organized, clean, and tidy work area following 5S and LEAN principles.
Contribute to new techniques and product developments, and support the acquisition of new machinery.
Attend daily team briefings, actively engaging in discussions to identify and solve potential issues.
Be prepared to work a reasonable amount of overtime to meet the operational demands of the business.
You should apply, if you have:
Time-served apprenticeship (HGV/Plant mechanics) and an NC in a relevant subject.
A background in a mechanical-based profession with hands-on experience in service and repair.
Ability to operate basic hand and power tools, read and understand engineering drawings, schematics, and ETS, as well as written instructions and procedures.
Forklift and overhead crane certificates are highly desirable.
