Fixed Term Contract



Up to �32k depending on experience plus benefits





Our client who is a key supplier to the armed forces, who supply them with full turnkey services including� system design, mechanical and software engineering, system integration, trials, production and delivery services and support are currently looking for an �Avionics Technician to take responsibility� for preparing the unmanned air system for flight, planned maintenance and corrective maintenance as well as troubleshooting activities.





Key responsibilities will be:




  • Maintenance of avionics and electronic components

  • Preparation of the air system for flight

  • Perform deployment, pre flight checks and end of flight tasks

  • Preparation of airfield for launch and recovery

  • Post flight routine data recordings and downloads

  • Supervise a small team

  • Carry out and certify inspections

  • Maintain Software library



Background/Skills




  • �Experience of first and second line maintenance

  • Experienced in Airfield/flight-line operations

  • Previously held signature authorisations or had supervisory responsibilities

  • Have the capability to operate as part of a small team and build strong working relationships

  • Strong communication skills

  • Previous military or civilian aircraft experience





This is initially a fixed term contract� until March 2025
