Alecto Recruitment are working with a market leader in the Environmental and Waste Management sector who is actively looking for an Anaerobic Digestion Supervisor on their AD Facility.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the site COTC holder for the AD site.
  • Oversee daily management of the AD operations staff.
  • Administer mandatory and competency-based training for the AD plant.
  • Ensure the AD plant operates safely and efficiently.
  • Verify that daily information recording is accurate according to business requirements and communicated during daily production meetings.
  • Collate and present KPIs, plant performance, issues, and other considerations at operations review meetings with the Principal Operations Manager.
  • Monitor operational aspects to ensure plant optimization and smooth AD plant operations.
  • Oversee operations to optimize power generation of the AD engines.
  • Manage all AD sampling, including coordination with third parties.
  • Handle third-party contracts related to the AD plant.
  • Proactively arrange process-related work to maximize production between planned outages.
  • Project manage and control improvements to the AD plant process, safety, and operations, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
  • Plan operational outages for the AD plant.
  • Participate in Management of Change, providing information on process safety, cost benefits, and operational feasibility.
  • Ensure effective logging and reporting of maintenance issues using CMMS, highlighting priority jobs during daily production meetings.

Qualifications

  • WAMITAB - Level 4 (Module 5 , anaerobic digestion)
  • IOSH Managing Safely Certificate or equivalent formal safety qualification

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in Anaerobic Digestion process
  • Understands relevant industry, health & safety legislation.
  • Competent in data collection, analysis and presentation
  • Understands how to manage projects.
  • Previous experience working within an AD environment.
  • Working to defined KPI deliverables.
  • Managerial Experience
  • Operational experience in Environmental Health and Safety, aspects of a Process Operation
