My leading London Market client are looking for a Application Specialist to join their growing team on a full time permanent basis. Reporting RelationshipsReporting into the Head of Applications, with special relationships with the deskside support team and the application vendors.Main Purpose of RoleTo manage the estate of Commercial Off the Shelf applications used within the organisation. Liaising with the vendors and development teams on change, ensuring that applications remain in compliance with patching and performance standards. Key AccountabilitiesProduct Specific Support.Lead application commissioning and configuration activities.Decommission retired applications.Monitor and report on Vendor KPIs and performance.Ensure that application patching and upgrades are completed in accordance with the company policies.Collaborate with the Finance team to create Oracle Fusion Centre of Excellence.Co-ordinate efforts of different teams involved in defect or outage remediations.Advise on new products that will add business benefit.Determine and apply configuration changes to COTS applications.Liaise with Managed Services Providers to ensure stable operation of COTS applications.Participate in vendor reviews and due diligence for material products.Role RequirementsThe Product Specialist – COTS will own the estate of circa 100 commercially available applications that company uses to operate its business, ensuring that these are well managed and supported by the vendor.Skills/CompetenciesAbility to prioritise multiple competing deadlines.Good written and verbal communication.Eye for attention to detailGood negotiation skillsUnderstanding of Citrix and Cloud technologiesExperienceExperience in managing a large portfolio of applications.Ability to collaborate with multiple internal and external teams.Experience managing third party service providers.Experience in disaster recovery and application deployment.To apply please send your CV to #####
