Application Support Analyst | £750/day (Inside IR35) | 6-month initial contract | LondonIndustry: TradingLocation: London – Hybrid (3 days in office)Job type: Full-timeSalary: £750/day (Inside IR35)The role:Cititec Talent are working with a trading company who are looking to onboard an Application Support Analyst into the business.What you’ll do:Collaborate with Level 2/3 support team.Support Openlink Endur and internal applications (OMS, FIX APIs, FO/MO/BO/Risk apps).Provide global business support from front office to accounting.Maintain strong communication and support process skills (escalation, alerts, incident logging, follow-up).Analyse and debug issues, coordinating with development teams.Engage in system analysis, implementation, development, and testing.Assist with technology upgrades (Endur, .NET 6/.NET 7, web-based apps).Enhance ORACLE PL/SQL database packages and procedures, including bug fixes.Contribute to SDLC tasks such as testing, documentation, implementation, and release management.Work with team leaders to improve development setup (DevOps, Octopus, CI-CD).Document issues, support features, and create user and troubleshooting guides.Complete tasks promptly as part of the BAU team.Follow departmental standards for task delivery.Requirements:Experience with trading application support (OpenLink, Murex, Sungard).Understanding of trading, STP, Risk, and Operations processes.Familiarity with FIX protocols, RabbitMQ/Messaging Service, and TFS Build is a plus.Proficient in Oracle PL/SQL or Microsoft SQL Server T-SQL.Development experience with .NET tools (C#, .NET, Blazor) is a plus.Knowledge of commodity derivatives and markets (Gas, Power, Oil, FX, Base Metals, Precious Metals).Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.Ability to work independently and with stakeholders.Experience with SDLC phases: analysis, coding, review, testing, documentation, implementation, and release management.Familiarity with waterfall and agile methodologies.Ability to review .NET code and perform data analysis is a plus.Note:You will be required to participate in an overnight on-call rota to support overnight batch processes, providing Level 3 support and occasional weekend, after-hours, or bank holiday work may be required, either on-site or from home.To find out more information please apply or message me on LinkedIn
