With an expanding portfolio of well-known clients, we are seeking a capable Application Support Team Lead to join our Application Support team as it grows to cover 24x7 operation. This team is responsible for the support of our application wherever it is used, and due to increased demand for always-on services, we are scaling up to staff our Level 1 team for a 24x7 service. The ideal candidate for this role will be an experienced L1/L2 Application Support Engineer looking to take the next step in their career and step into a supervisory role. Leading by example you will be at the front line of our support team, showing what operational excellence looks like.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupervising and performing the triage & response portion of our incident management processHands-on incident resolution as/when requiredEnsure adherence to SLAs across all customersRespond to escalations from customers and internal stakeholdersPerformance monitoring and coaching to improve team metrics and productivityContinuous improvement of internal operating procedures and policies relevant to the rolePerform proactive maintenance tasks or small pieces of work during quieter periodsSkills, Knowledge and Expertise
Required:Previous Line Manager experienceExcellent written and oral communication skills are essentialService Desk OperationsTicket management ITIL
System AdministrationAzure Active Directory/Entra ID oActive DirectoryWindows Server 201xDesirable :Database Administration MS-SQL – particularly Azure SQL Database Scripting PowerShell/Bash The successful candidate must be able to travel regularly to either our Glasgow Office - G1 1RE, or our Edinburgh Office, EH12 5HD.
