Job Summary
W Talent are seeking an experienced Applications Engineer to join this Nottinghamshire based manufacturing business and support their growth plans. This role will be responsible for providing technical expertise in the Specification/Desgin, Quotation, Installation, and Commissioning of our industrial products on customer sites. The successful candidate will act as a key liaison between customers, the sales team, and the engineering department to ensure successful project execution and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to customers, sales teams, and internal stakeholders regarding product selection, application, and integration.
- Assist in the installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of industrial products on customer sites.
- Conduct site visits to assess requirements and provide technical recommendations.
- Develop and deliver technical training to customers and internal teams.
- Work closely with the design and production teams to ensure that products meet client specifications and site requirements.
- Support the sales process by offering technical insights and ensuring proposed solutions align with customer needs.
- Prepare technical documentation, reports, and installation guidelines.
- Ensure all work complies with health, safety, and industry regulations.
Key Skills & Experience
- A degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical or Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in an applications/project engineering role within a manufacturing, construction or industrial environment.
- Hands-on experience with full end to end product support from design to delivery.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and customer-facing skills.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites across the UK and occasionally internationally.
