Apprentice Engineer

About the role

We’re currently looking to recruit 2 Engineering Apprentices, based at our dairy site in Ossett, Yorkshire!

This role offers not only a fantastic opportunity to join an amazing driven team but also the chance to complete a Level 3 Apprenticeship including a HNC in Engineering over a 4-year course.

The training provider for this apprenticeship is Kirklees College and the successful candidates will spend their first-year full time at the college.

Key responsibilities

Working alongside an experienced and qualified team, you will learn all aspects of Mechanical/Electrical (Multi-Skilled) Maintenance and Site Services, working under supervision initially to work up to being responsible for a wide and varied range of role related tasks!

We’re looking for an individual that loves a challenge, loves food, loves working in a fast-paced environment and who has a passion for Engineering.

Qualifications and skills

• You must have 5 GCSEs, including grades A-C, or equivalent, in Maths and English.
• A lateral thinker - technically minded with an interest into how things work.
• An aptitude towards hands-on work and a strong interest in Engineering.
• The ability to work well within a team while support and learning from those around you.
• Excellent creative problem-solving skills with an eagerness to learn.
• The ability to use your own initiative.
• Strong communication skills.
• Practical and self-motivated.
