MANE are currently recruiting for an Apprentice Welder for our Aerospace client based in Bedfordshire. (Permanent).


  • Apprentice Welder Position
    Role Overview:

    This apprenticeship provides hands-on experience in manufacturing and welding various assemblies under the guidance of experienced welders and a Team Leader. The goal is to develop welding skills while producing high-quality components that meet Aerospace standards, following technical drawings and specifications.

    Core Responsibilities:
    • Assist in assembling and welding components using resistance/seam welding machines under supervision.
    • Learn to operate automated TIG welding machines with materials such as stainless steel, titanium, and Inconel.
    • Support in forming and trimming bellows on automated and manual forming machines.
    • Work closely with the laboratory team to ensure proper weld testing.
    • Follow technical drawings and route card instructions accurately.
    • Gain knowledge of Operator Verification processes and work towards approval stamps.
    • Maintain efficiency while meeting quality and production standards.
    • Assist in learning and implementing new welding techniques and process improvements.
    • Ensure a clean and safe working environment, following health and safety guidelines.
    • Develop an understanding of cost reduction and efficiency improvements in production.
    • Stay updated on company policies, safety regulations, and training requirements.
    • Demonstrate a flexible and proactive approach to teamwork and learning.
    Role Requirements:

    Required:

    • Willingness to learn welding techniques and develop trade skills.
    • Ability to follow instructions (both verbal and written).
    • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
    • Commitment to meeting training and development goals.

    Desirable:

    • Basic understanding of engineering drawings.
    • Interest in welding specifications and procedures.
    • Familiarity with measuring equipment.
    • Interest in aerospace manufacturing and welding processes.
    Day Shift: Monday to Thursday, 6:00am to 3:45pm, or 7:00am to 4:45pm
  • Potential for inclusion in a Late Shift rotation, Monday to Thursday.
