Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Identity and Access Management (IAM) Architect to join our team remotely. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing robust access management solutions for complex consumer environments within the UK Public Sector. This contract position is initially for three months, with the possibility of extension based on project needs and performance.
Key Responsibilities
High-Level & Low-Level Design: Develop comprehensive high-level and detailed low-level designs for complex consumer access management solutions tailored to the UK Public Sector's unique requirements.
Implementation: Lead the implementation of IAM solutions, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and adherence to best practices.
Technical Expertise: Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in IBM Security Verify Access, guiding the team on best practices and advanced configurations.
API Design: Design and manage APIs to facilitate secure and efficient access management processes.
Authentication Protocols: Implement and manage authentication protocols such as OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), and XACML to ensure secure and scalable access control.
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA): Design and deploy MFA and MMFA solutions to enhance security measures across platforms.
Scripting & Automation: Utilize scripting languages like Python and automation tools such as Ansible to streamline IAM processes and improve system efficiency.
Problem-Solving: Identify, analyze, and resolve complex IAM issues, ensuring minimal disruption to services.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including security, development, and operations, to align IAM strategies with organizational goals.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of IAM architectures, configurations, and procedures to support ongoing maintenance and future projects.
Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of the latest IAM trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously enhance the organization's access management capabilities.
Required Qualifications
Experience
:
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in Identity and Access Management.
Proven track record in designing and implementing IAM solutions in complex environments, preferably within the public sector.
Technical Skills:
Expertise in IBM Security Verify Access.
Strong knowledge of API Design, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), and XACML.
Proficiency in implementing Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and Multi-Modal Factor Authentication (MMFA) solutions.
Advanced scripting and automation skills using languages and tools such as Python and Ansible.

Public Sector Experience: Prior experience working within the UK Public Sector, understanding its specific compliance and regulatory requirements.
Additional Technical Skills: Familiarity with other IAM tools and platforms, cloud-based access management solutions, and DevOps practices.
