Architectural Assistant/Technologist | Beeston, Nottingham | Working Hours 09:00 to 17.30, Monday to Friday | £20,000 - £30,000 paDue to an increasing workload, we are looking for an architectural assistant or technologist to join our talented team. This is an exciting opportunity for a technologist or assistant architect to work at a friendly, welcoming and inclusive RIBA Chartered practice.We are looking for someone who is keen to develop their skills and take responsibility for managing smaller projects as well as work in teams to support more experienced staff. We offer our clients a comprehensive range of architectural services for a wide variety of projects and develop close relationships with them to help from feasibility to completion of the building.We specialise in creating innovative, functional and unique living spaces, individually tailored for each of our clients across a variety of sectors, including residential, commercial, education, office and community buildings.With us, you'll have the opportunity to see a wide range of projects through all RIBA stages of work from feasibility to completion. The successful candidate will liaise directly with clients and will have a flair for design with a good working knowledge of the UK planning and building regulations legislation.Please only apply if you have direct experience working full-time on UK planning and building regulations applications for a minimum of 1 year.Any applicants currently resident outside the UK will not be considered for this position.Are you the right person for the job?Living in or around the Nottingham areaRelevant RIBA/CIAT accredited Degree Qualified, or equivalent HNC/HNDMinimum 1 years' UK architectural experience requiredExcellent organisational and planning skills with the ability to use own initiative to plan and manage own work programme, projects and other resourcesWell-developed interpersonal skills to work effectively and collaborate with internal and external teamsGood verbal and written communication skillsFull and clean driver's licence and own carWhat will your role look like?Deliver a range of projectsExperience 2D/3D using Autocad LT & Sketchup (or similar) is essentialAssist in the preparation of drawings through all RIBA Work StagesLiaise with other members of the design team and clientsResponsible for the production and co-ordination of technical drawingsProduce detailed specifications for submission to building control and for tendering purposesAttend meetings and site visits as and when required, liaise with external consultants and contractorsWhat can you expect in return?Competitive salary – dependent upon experienceProfessional career progressionOngoing professional development and training inhouse and online, including assisting Part III studentsWill consider part time post for the right candidateAn opportunity to work with a friendly, inclusive Chartered PracticeWhat’s next?
