Architectural Technician - Housebuilding

HBF are currently looking for an Architectural Technician for a well-respected privately-owned housebuilder based in Lancashire
You will be joining a builder who have and excellent reputation, a desirable brand and a company that have significant growth plans over the next few years.
Working alongside the Design Manager, Technical Manager/Director
The role is to provide a practical and cost-effective technical service to the Division. This will encompass site evaluation, architectural and engineering design, and the investigations of any technical problems encountered and provision of economical and viable solutions. This may involve liaison with, appointment of and co-ordination of external professionals. The Technical Department are involved with the product from inception to completion.
Provide technical support and information to Construction, Commercial and Sales Departments and other members of the Design Team;
Accurately update existing house types and provide new designs when required;
Effectively manage Building Regulation Applications in a timely manner;
Maintain good understanding of the Building Regulations, SAP and construction issues that affect house building;
Prepare sales and legal information, conveyance plans, sales area layouts, external finishes, etc;
Obtain and check information from external architectural consultants, suppliers and manufacturers for inclusion within the working drawing pack;
Visit sites to carry out inspections of the house types;
Ensure amended drawings are issued in accordance with Company Procedures.
Promote new and improved drafting procedures and techniques to help with producing house type working drawings; The preparation and upkeep of the company standard details.
Experience / Person Spec
Housebuilding experience
Previous experience of working as Architectural Technician or assistant.
