Job Title: Architectural Technologist

Location: Essex

Opportunity:

An Architectural Technologist role has become available at an innovative consultancy firm looking to expand its Project Management and Design team. Joining a varied team of specialists, the successful Architectural Technologist candidate will be part of a growing community of designers, focussed on the effective delivery of a wide variety of developments.

With a particular focus on public and private construction, you will be overseeing the creation and advancement of assigned projects. Your specialist insight will be utilised as you take on a client facing position, providing expert services and aiding in the development of long-term relationships with new and existing clients.

Role Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities within the role of Architectural Technologist are varied but are split predominantly between cooperative and solo aspects. These include:

  • Collaborating with other architects and engineers to allow for flawless unification of technical design constructs.
  • Collaborating with clients and key stakeholders to understand their wants and convert them to technical designs.
  • Aid in the progression of 3D models/visualisations.
  • Using AutoCAD to produce complex designs, plans and necessary specifications.
  • Arrange proper documentation and designs, assuring they're accurate and follow project protocols.
  • Carry out site visits to collect key information and guarantee designs match up with the landscape.
  • Deliver proposals of personally produced design concepts and plans to your team.
  • Make certain all designs align with standards, relevant codes and regulations.
  • Actively participate throughout all RIBA stages and provide technical support during construction phase.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proven experience working within some form of Architectural consultancy.
  • Proven proficiency with AutoCAD software.
  • Strong working knowledge of typical construction techniques, rules and resources.
  • Member of or working towards chartered member status with Royal Institute of British Architects.
  • Adept illustrative design skills.
  • Proficiency with Revit and 3D render software is desirable.
  • Professional membership to relevant body e.g. CIAT is desirable.
