Area Sales Manager (Material Handling)

Alexander James Recruiting is currently working with a well-established supplier of various types of materials handling and related equipment looking to recruit a new Area Sales Manager to cover and develop their client base across the PO, SO, GU & BN postcodes. This is a great opportunity for a professional individual looking for a competitive sales career.

Responsibilities

· Managing an existing client base across the PO, SO, GU & BN postcodes

· Business development across the same area

· Generate new business by visiting customers on site, conducting site surveys and providing customer quotes for forklift hire

· Sell a variety of Material Handling products and related equipment

· Providing a consultative sales approach in order to win new business in the hire and sale of material handling products

Requirements

There is no set background for this role, but the company are keen on speaking to individuals with a strong sales background, hire/rental or general financial understanding given that the role is focused on contract hire of material handling equipment. The company are also open to candidates outside of material handling if the individual comes from another relevant sales background with good numerical, administration, communication, and literacy skills. Ultimately, the company are looking for confident, driven, and energetic yet disciplined individuals with professionalism who have a proven track record within sales. In terms of locality, you will preferably be based somewhere across the South East where the position is based.
