Job Title: Regional Sales Manager Plumbing & Heating

Industry Sector: New Build, Regional Housebuilders, Housing Developers, National and Independent Plumbing & Heating Merchants, Pipe Clips and associated Fixing & Fastening
Area to be covered: Central Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, Leicestershire, Norfolk, Suffolk, Northamptonshire, Warwickshire & West Midlands
Remuneration: £33,000-£38,000 + £6,000 Bonus
Benefits: Fully expensed Hybrid Car + Comprehensive Benefits
The role of the Area Sales Manager Plumbing & Heating Merchants will involve:
Field sales position selling a high quality manufactured range of pipe clips and associated fixing & fastenings
40% of your time account developing circa 200+ active independent plumbing & heating merchants
Responsible for approx. £450,000 of turnover from the independent plumbers merchants and heating merchants
20% of your time account developing circa 200+ active national plumbing & heating merchants (Travis Perkins, Grafton, Wolseley, Saint Gobain etc.)
Creating awareness amongst branch managers in respect of what products are available via their distribution centres (distribution centre agreements looked after by Commercial Director)
30% winning specifications within the new build housing market with regional housebuilders and housing developers
Inheriting a region currently performing well against budget expectation
Average order values typically £200
The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager Plumbing & Heating Merchants with:
Plumbing & heating associated field sales experience
Ideally worked for a manufacturer, but may be open to field sales experience with a distributor
Preferably sold into the new build housing market with contacts within regional housebuilders and housing developers and their local builders
Industry experience, sold to plumbing & heating merchants
CRM / Microsoft office experience
Strong account management and relationships building skills
Proven track record in field sales and territory management
Autonomous in approach
Good solid work ethic and get up and go
Trustworthy and self motivated
Enthusiastic and hungry
