Tradewind are currently recruiting on behalf of one of our client secondary schools in Wigan who are seeking an Art Teacher to cover a long-term position due to start in November 2024. This position is a full-time long-term placement, covering a maternity leave, expected to continue until July 2025.

The successful Art Teacher will be joining a 11-16 mixed comprehensive school situated to the west of Wigan. Our client school are proud of their positive, caring ethos based on their fundamental principle of mutual respect. The successful Art Teacher will be immersing themselves into a department whose intent is to give every student the opportunity to be the best creative and imaginative artist they can, able to express themselves and appreciate the place of Art in their world.

Pay for this position is up to £223.62 per day, depending on experience.

To be considered for this Art Teacher position based in Wigan the essentials are:

• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
• Experience teaching Art across KS3 and KS4
• Excellent knowledge of the UK National Curriculum
• Legal right to work in the UK
• Full enhanced DBS on the update service or be prepared to undertake a new disclosure
