Can you foster a creative and supportive learning environment that encourages student participation and enthusiasm?

We are seeking a passionate and creative teacher to join our team in Preston. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Art and Design to KS3 and KS4 students, and encouraging artistic expression and development. The daily pay rate for this position ranges from £155 to £230, based on your experience, qualifications, and teaching proficiency.

The successful candidate will design and deliver captivating Art and Design lessons, promote student engagement and exploration, and support their artistic growth and development. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to inspire creativity, ignite a passion for the arts, and help students realise their full artistic potential.

Responsibilities:


  • Contribute to subject development by producing, reviewing and updating curriculum plans and schemes of work
  • Strong knowledge of the curriculum
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Teach classes allocated and provide a well planned challenging, purposeful learning environment
  • Develop approach to self - directed learning, use technology to support learning
  • Use assessment data to inform lesson planning
  • Set homework and mark promptly
  • Ensure a high quality of teaching and learning takes place
  • Deal with immediate problems/emergencies according to school policy and procedures
  • Respond to questioning

  • Managing behaviour of pupils whilst undertaking work to ensure a constructive environment
  • Strong classroom management
  • Motivated and enthusiastic demeanour
  • Be an inspiring and engaging communicator

Personal attributes:


  • You will have a genuine passion for teaching
  • Experience up to key stage 3/4
  • QTS/PGCE equivalent
  • Be flexible and committed
