Asbestos Lab Analyst

Job Title: Asbestos Lab Analyst.
Location: West Bromwich, West Midlands.
Salary / Benefits �24k - �30k + Training + Benefits
We are working closely with an independent and highly reputable Asbestos Consultancy who are now looking to take on an Asbestos Lab Analyst to join their West Midlands laboratory. The successful candidate will have experience carrying out sample analysis using PLM and stereo microscopy in line with HSG 248 guidelines.
Consideration will be given to candidates from: Solihull, Coventry, West Bromwich, Walsall, Wolverhampton, Stourbridge, Kidderminster, Tamworth, Cannock, Royal Leamington Spa, Redditch, Nuneaton.
Experience & Qualifications:
" Must hold the BOHS P401.
" Experience working as a lab analyst for a UKAS accredited consultancy.
" Able to demonstrate excellent working knowledge of HSG 248 guidelines.
" Excellent eye for detail.
" Will always be professional and polite.
The Role:
" Analysing asbestos bulk samples using PLM and stereo microscopy.
" Logging and safely storing asbestos samples upon arrival to the laboratory.
" Ensuring work is carried out in line with HSG 248 guidelines.
" Maintaining companies UKAS accreditation.
" Calibrating lab equipment, ensuring that the laboratory is kept tidy.
" Filling out job sheets upon completion of analysis.
" Liaising with clients, ensuring to provide excellent technical support and advice when required.
