Job Title: Asbestos Lab Analyst
Location: Southend-on-Sea, Essex.
Salary / Benefits �24k - �27k + Training + Benefits
South East based leading Asbestos Consultancy now have an opening for a BOHS P401 qualified Asbestos Lab Analyst, to join their longstanding and friendly team. This role would suit candidates who hold experience working in a UKAS accredited asbestos company. You will be carrying out analysis on asbestos samples, ensuring to complete job sheets upon completion of analysis and ensuring to maintain the companied UKAS accreditation. Due to the nature of the position, this client would consider candidates looking for part and full-time work.
Consideration will be given to candidates from: Rochford, Hockley, South Benfleet, Canvey Island, Stanford-le-Hope, Rochford, Wickford, Billericay, Maldon, Broomfield.
Experience & Qualifications:
o BOHS P401 is essential.
o Background working in a UKAS accredited asbestos laboratory.
o Will have in-depth and up to date knowledge of relevant HSG 248 guidelines.
o Excellent observation skills.
o Able to manage time efficiently.
o Excellent communication skills.
The Role:
o Carrying out analysis on asbestos samples using PLM and stereo microscopy.
o Ensuring that all samples are logged onto internal systems upon arrival to the laboratory.
o Bagging, labelling, and storing samples safely.
o Preparing all samples for analysis.
o Correctly completing job sheets upon completion of analysis.
o Calibrating equipment, keeping the laboratory tidy.
o Working in line with HSG 248 guidelines.
o Working hard to maintain the companies UKAS accreditation.
o Communicating efficiently with clients, providing support and advice when required.
