About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and experienced Assistant Head to join the leadership team of a primary school in Waltham Forest . Starting in January 2025 , this fixed-term position will run until the end of the school year. The Assistant Head will work closely with the Headteacher to drive school improvement, lead on key areas of teaching and learning, and support both staff and students in a dynamic and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership Support : Assist the Headteacher in implementing the school's vision, ethos, and long-term strategic objectives.
Curriculum Development : Lead the continuous development of the curriculum to ensure it meets the needs of all students and maintains high academic standards.
Staff Development : Provide guidance, mentoring, and professional development for teaching staff to ensure excellent practice across the school.
Student Welfare : Take a leading role in safeguarding and promoting the well-being of students, ensuring a supportive and inclusive school environment.
Inclusion and Equality : Champion inclusive practices to ensure that all students have access to the support and opportunities they need to succeed.
Parental and Community Engagement : Build positive relationships with parents and the wider community to support student learning and development.
Monitoring Progress : Use data to monitor and track student progress, identifying gaps and implementing targeted interventions to support academic achievement.
