We are hiring for an Assembly Manager / Operations Manager in Leicester. We are looking for someone to oversee our assembly processes, ensuring they meet our high standards and you will be an important part of this team helping to reach deadlines.

Duties of an Assembly Manager / Operations Manager

• Oversee the daily operations of the assembly department to ensure production goals are met.
• Manage, coach, and develop a team of assembly workers, ensuring adherence to company quality and safety standards.
• Work closely with the production planning and fabrication teams to ensure efficient workflow.
• Identify process improvement opportunities to optimize productivity and reduce waste.
• Maintain and ensure health and safety compliance across the assembly department.
• Troubleshoot assembly issues and provide effective solutions.
• Liaise with other department managers to coordinate activities and support business needs.

Skills and experience of a Assembly Manager / Operations Manager

As an Assembly Manager / Operations Manager, you need have experience with;

• Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
• Effective communicator at all levels.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.

It would be beneficial to the Assembly Manager / Operations Manager role if you also had;

• Good communication skills, in particular with written and verbal English
• Access to reliable transport. The client’s site is accessible via car, public transport, walking or cycling.
