MANE are currently looking for Assembly Technicians for a world leading Aerospace Interiors company based in Bedfordshire.

Job Summary
Purpose


The ISS Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling a variety of aircraft interior products within a dynamic, low batch, high mix manufacturing environment. Working as part of a small team, you will ensure the assembly of spare components meets required quality standards and customer demands in a busy aerospace manufacturing facility.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Utilize a wide range of production methods, including hand tools, motorized equipment, aerospace-standard solvents and adhesives, and various fasteners, to assemble a variety of components.
  • Work with a diverse range of materials, including alloys, steels, plastics, fabrics, and leathers.
  • Read and understand aerospace standard drawings and relevant engineering documentation to ensure manufacturing adherence.
  • Maintain the traceability of all components and assembled parts.
  • Package finished goods according to industry standards for road, sea, and air cargo.
  • Adhere to and fully comply with all company health and safety policies.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and demonstrate a good duty of care.
  • Show a commitment to quality and help maintain business delivery and quality targets.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and drive efficiency.
  • Be willing to cross-train in other relevant skills to support business needs as required.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Education & Experience
  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs or equivalent qualifications, or 7 years of experience working in aerospace manufacturing.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of assembly experience within an engineering manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated high skill set in the use of a variety of power/hand and mechanical tools.
  • Ability to read and successfully interpret complex engineering drawings.
  • Good understanding of industry quality adherence requirements.
Local Information
  • This role reports to the Assembly Cell Team Leader.
  • Travel requirement: 10%.
  • Hours of Work: Standard Hours - 39 hours per week
    • Monday to Thursday: 15:00 to 00:00
    • Friday: 12:00 to 17:00
