Brightsmith is partnering with an innovative company dedicated to advancing restoration and conservation efforts through the use of advanced technology and nature credits. They are seeking a dynamic and driven Assessment Associate, focused on advancing cutting-edge carbon projects from inception through to certification.
Responsibilities:
Perform in-depth analysis, review, and assessment of carbon-related projects.
Develop and maintain a broad perspective of projects from their initial evaluation through to the design and implementation phases.
Rigorously assess expert contributions to ensure clarity, accuracy, and that they address essential questions.
Identify and prioritize key project risks at various stages, ensuring they are managed effectively.
Streamline and structure the sequence of assessment tasks to improve efficiency.
Play a key role in creating and refining analytical tools and approaches to enhance assessment quality and speed.
Take charge of presenting analysis and project details to the Assessment Committee.
Experience:
Demonstrated success in conducting data-driven evaluations in complex settings, with a solid grasp of Nature-Based Solutions (NBS).
Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities, with the capacity to spot gaps and evaluate project components thoroughly.
Deep commitment to nature conservation, with a strong drive to contribute to meaningful progress in climate change mitigation and biodiversity preservation.
Flexible and inquisitive mindset, comfortable with uncertainty and rapid shifts in a start-up environment.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and work effectively with a diverse, remote team.
This is a full time position.
Location: UK, fully remote.
