Your Role:

As a Children's Social Worker in the Assessment Team, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding children, conducting thorough assessments, and developing tailored care plans.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Intake and Referral Management: Receiving referrals, prioritizing cases based on urgency, and gathering initial information.
• Comprehensive Needs Assessment: Conducting in-depth assessments to understand the child's and family's circumstances, strengths, needs, and risks, including social, emotional, and mental health; physical health; educational or employment needs; housing and financial stability; family relationships; abuse or neglect; substance misuse; and offending behavior.
• Risk Assessment: Identifying potential risks to the child or others.
• Strengths Assessment: Identifying the child's and family's strengths and resources.
• Case Planning: Creating individualized care plans based on assessment findings, outlining goals, interventions, and timelines.
• Co-ordinating Services: Working with other professionals and agencies to ensure seamless support delivery.
• Information Sharing and Collaboration: Sharing information ethically and safely with colleagues and other agencies.

Key Requirements:

• Social Work Qualification: You must be a qualified Social Worker.
• Social Care England Registration: Essential for this role.
• Strong assessment and case planning skills: Demonstrated ability to conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: Ability to build rapport with children, families, and other professionals.
• Commitment to safeguarding children: Passion for protecting children and families.
