The Company

My client has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, dynamic Assistant Accountant to join their small, friendly finance team on a permanent basis.

Early finish on Fridays!

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Finance Manager, your duties will include:

• Purchase Ledger including reconciling invoices to delivery notes, coding of invoices in line with company coding structure and processing on the company's accounting system


• Assisting with the production of monthly management accounts


• Reconciling supplier statements


• Supplier payments


• Recording and coding petty cash expenditure


• Reviewing and processing staff card expenses


• Assisting in the preparation, processing and recording of weekly production wages


• Assisting in the preparation of financial reports


• Undertaking other finance administrative tasks and general support to the Finance Manager as required


• Complying with company policies

Personal Profile

We are looking to speak with versatile, enthusiastic Assistant Accountants who are capable of adapting to new challenges and are willing to approach any obstacle with a resilient approach. You must have previous experience in a similar role and be willing to develop your skillset/knowledge further. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to progress their career and be part of a succession plan.

Experience of Sage 200 and Sage 50 Payroll would be preferred but not essential.
