Assistant Accountant £35,000 Ballymena Permanent Full Time The Company Hayward Hawk is delighted to be partnered with a successful manufacturing firm located in Ballymena. This assistant accountant position reports into the management accountant and will help the department across all accounts, from transaction finance to producing weekly P&Ls. Staff sales Staff discount scheme What Youll do Produce detailed weekly financial statements for review by the Management Accountant and submission to the Group, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial policies. Generate and distribute comprehensive weekly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to the wider management team to support informed decision-making. Perform weekly bank reconciliations for both sterling and euro accounts, maintaining accuracy and ensuring all transactions are correctly recorded. Provide support to the wider Finance Department, assisting with various financial tasks and projects as needed. Provide cover for Payroll, ensuring that all payroll-related activities are completed accurately and on time during absences. Assist with business analysis by gathering and analysing financial data to support strategic planning and decision-making processes. Produce weekly Profit and Loss (P&L) reports, providing insights into the financial performance of the business to aid in management's financial oversight and planning. What Youll Need Either experience working at this level as an assistant accountant or have experience working as an accounts assistant with IATI or part qualified in CIMA or ACCA.
