Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our busy finance team. The successful candidate will support the finance function in managing the financial operations of the group, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation of management accounts and reports.
Process purchase orders, invoices, payments, and receipts.
Reconcile bank statements and other key control accounts.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
Provide administrative support to the finance department as needed.
Qualifications:
Experience of working in an accounts department preferably in a similar role.
AAT qualification or equivalent would be an advantage.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in accounting software preferably Xero.
Good MS Excel skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
