Assistant Accountant

CMA Recruitment Group is currently working with an expanding education sector organisation based in Bournemouth. We have been appointed to recruit an Assistant Accountant to join our clients finance team, initially on a temporary basis requiring an immediate starter.
The successful candidate will help support the Head of Finance and you will be part of a newly created finance team. 
What will the Assistant Accountant role involve?

• Reviewing invoices and ensuring the VAT element is correct and accounted for;
• Statement reconciliations and query resolution;
• Working with various finance team members to gather the correct information for VAT calculations;
• Checking transactions and ensuring these are allocated and reconciled. 

Suitable Candidate for the Assistant Accountant vacancy:

• The ideal candidate will ideally be studying and at a part qualified level;
• Experience with VAT calculations and returns;
• Methodical approach and detail orientated; 
• Good understanding of accountancy systems and Excel.
